Meeting the Dragon

It was a calm and slow day. The island of Ohara was quiet as always. The weather did nothing crazy today. Flint walked over the streets on this small island. He had just came here for the first time after he read about it for so many years. He stopped for a moment as he looked at the huge tree, right in the middle of the island. There was the famous library full with ancient books. A chill ran down his spine when he thought about all the cooking books this place could have in store. He looked around for a bit. The people were quiet as they walked by. Nothing special. He sighed, but then suddenly his stomache started rumbling. "Food..." He said quiet to himself. He looked around once again to find some place to eat. "They need to have some sort of bar, right?" The young man shrugged and started to walk a little further. He turned around a corner and looked right at a bar. 'The wise geezer'. Flint read that from a sign which hung above the door. He laughed a bit at the name and entered the bar.

Satsumi was sitting on a stool while drinking a glass of sake. She was listening to the old man that was telling stories about Ohara, she was kinda interested at the story but was also bored at the same time.

"Marines executed all the Oharans living here before-"

"What about you, you're an Oharan too, right?" Satsumi cut in.

"No I'm not. I just got that story from an old Oharan friend of mine." The old man said and the old man continued his story. Satsumi got no interest in the story anymore because the old man always repeat his story over and over again every time she ask a question.

"I must go now." Satsumi said and paid the old man. She sighed, she hopes that she would find more information about the history of the world.

Flint calmly walked into the bar, hands in his pockets. He passed a young looking woman with short dark hair. He smiled and gave a gentle silent nod. Then he said down on the same stool she was sitting on. He looked over at the old man on the other side of the bar. "heey, Geezer. Do you have something to eat or just drink?" The old man shrugged. "You can have some sake and bread." "Fine, it's enough for now." Flint answered. He layed down some coin on the bar. "The last of my money... Man I need a job or something..."

Satsumi walked out off the bar, she kept walking and walking until she saw a big tree just like on what the old man said that there is a big tree with tons of information. Satsumi entered the tree and saw books in shelves not burned nor destroyed. She wondered on why it was like this since in the old man story is that all books in Ohara was either destroyed or burned. She checked a book if it's destroyed inside not on the outside but finds out that it was alright.

Satsumi sighed. "No time for wandering around, I must find enough information about the History." She said as she checked a red book that has the title 'Red Blue' and read it.

After finishing his meal of bread and sake, Flint headed straight for the library. The walk from the bar to the tree was not that long, so Flint arrived pretty quick. He looked around and sighed. "I hope there are cooking books in this mess." He walked around for a bit but he suddenly stood still. "Cooking books!" He grapped a lot of books and tried to walk to a table. But all the books blocked his view and he bummed right into a person. He fell down but when he got up, he saw the same young lady he greeted back in the bar.

Satsumi fell down on the ground and dropped the book she's reading. She saw the same guy from the bar. Satsumi sighed, grabbing the book she was reading from before and stood up. "Watch where you're going next time and don't bring many books at the same time while walking."
Satsumi went to a table and sat down on the chair re-reading all the chapters again.

"Who are you to say that I can't bring so many books. I can bring as many as I want." Flint mummbled. He stood up and looked over to the girl. "Damn girl," He mummbled to himself. "She took the only table I can see..." He sighed as he started to re-collect all his books. When the tower was build up again, Flint walked carefull over to the table, dropped the books right next to it and sat down across the girl. He tried not to look at her and grapped a cooking books. He opened it and put it on the table with the cover faceing the girl, while he was hiding behind it. The book's name was 'Chef's ancient spicies'.

"I heard what you said." Satsumi said as she flipped a page to the book she is reading. "My point is... You can't read so many books all at the same time."

Satsumi continued reading as she closed the book which she founds 'useless'. She got another book that got no title in particular but looked like a diary. She opened the book to see the first page and tried to see all the pages by flipping it, it got some stains and a teared page. Satsumi went to the table from before , she sat down and read the book.

Flint raised one eyebrow. "Are you looking for something?" He asked. "I can help, I've read a lot as a child and during my travels." He laid down his cooking book and looked at the girl. "If you want ofcourse."

"I'm not looking for anything. Reading is just what I do most of the time when I'm free." Satsumi answered while she continues reading the book that got no title.

"Whatever... Grump." Flint mummbled as he grapped a new book. He started to read it but quickly yawned a few times. "Man, this is boring... Why isn't there somewhere a good fight?" He sighed. "I am itching for battle."

"Then go to a a Marine Base and fight them then be captured.." Satsumi said a little annoyed and continued reading. She closed the book and puts it back on where it belongs. She grabbed 4 books and returned back to where she is sitting. She started to read the first one which is entitled with 'Into The Abyss'.

"Maybe I will, miss boring..." Flint said. "Those weak marnines..." And he started to mummble some things to himself. He grapped another book when suddenly the door of the library was kicked open. Two marine officers stood in the opening. Their white coats waved in the wind from outside. They looked around and entered the tree. When Flint saw the two guys, he tried to hide in his book.

Satsumi kept silent and continued reading not minding the Marines that entered. "There's your chance." Satsumi said and read the other book.

"Not right now." Flint said. "It is too crowded for one. But I wonder what they are doing here?" He looked over at the two men. They were walking and looking around. It looked like they were looking for something, or someone.

"They are probably finding the book that I just read before or maybe they're finding for you." Satsumi said and closed the book. She looked at the Marines and sighed. "They haven't noticed us yet but i knew that we don't have any chance of escaping if there are Marine soldiers there are probably more outside. Act innocent , don't act any foolishness." Satsumi opened the book she is reading and continues to read calmly.

"I know, I am smarter than you think." He wispered, not taking his eyes of the marines. "By the way, why would they be looking for your book? It doesn't look special to me." Flint raised one eyebrow when he looked at the book. "Were you looking for that book?"

" No.. I'm not finding for that book for it is useless for me but useful for others." Satsumi said and puts down the book she is reading. "Why does it matter to you anyways?" Satsumi asked.

"It doesn't matter. But what do you mean with that comment? Useful for others, useless to you?" Flint looked at her. "Who are you?"

Satsumi looked at Flint in the eyes and sighed. "I guess , you can be a trusted... That book is useful to others because it tells on how to rule over the world, it tells on where the Forbidden Tool: Hell shaft is, the missing page of that book is the map on where the Forbidden Tool: Hell Shaft can be located. The book is useless for me for it is not what I'm looking for, I just wanted to seek the real history. The Marines would just burn that book to be gone forever and For who I am doesn't concern you anymore." She answered.

Flint coughed a little and then started laughing. "A book you can rule the world with?" He said between laughter. "Are you serious? How should I believe you?" When he stopped laughing a bit, he wiped the tears away from his eyes. "I am Flint by the way." But what Flint didn't know that his laughter drew the attention of the marines and they were on their ways to him and the girl.

"You're an idiot." Satsumi said and read another book. "Good luck Flint." Satsumi acted calm and flipped another page of the book.

"Good luck with what?" Flint aked before he turned his head and looked right at the two marines. He gave a weak smile and waved stupidly. "Hi, guys..." The right marine officer raised an eyebrow and looked at the book of Satsumi. "That's it." He grapped the book and ripped it out of her hands. Then they both calmly walked away without saying anything.

"Stupid ,Marines... that was a good fiction book, it's not even on what they're looking for." Satsumi said and read another book.

"How do you know, mystery woman? Are you some sort of know-it-all." Flint asked a bit annoyed. "Man, I am bored already... hopefully something special will happen."
