Soliloquy of the Marine Grunt

Winter sat in the tree, situated somewhere in Dock 5, hiding away from his usual daily marine duties on Water 7. Years ago, a small fleet of marines were established in Water 7, to prevent and decrease pirate activity and usually it's peaceful. As he read the newspaper, the names, Savage Heart, Infinite Horizon, Gallant Pirates and Heaven's Winter filled the newspaper. It wasn't only crews, rookies everywhere are increasing by the minute."Pirate scum... Really, they just don't get it. The more crimes they do the more the people suffer. I need a vacation...."

Winter placed the newspaper over his glasses and slept for a good three minutes. Only three, sadly, because the local children had come to play with him. "Winter! Winter! Winter! Come down and play with us", the children echoed. "Look, I changed from my usual sleeping spot in Dock 2 to come to Dock 5. Do you understand the concept of me skipping my daily duties? Every time I play with you kids... I get caught" Winter exclaimed. "But But Brother Winter!-" "Don't give me those eyes... Damn it." Winter slid down the side of the tree, creating an ice slide on his way. "Amazing! Are we going to freeze the ships in the harbor again!? Or! freeze the ovens in the bread shop?" "I find I got an extra 100 Chore hours for that last time... So I'll pass"


Just then, the alarm went off in Dock 5, the Dock's were being raided by looters it seemed. "Brother Winter! Intruders! What will you do?" "Same thing I do everytime kids, let my nice superiors handle it." Winter dashed off, leaving the little kids behind but this time he couldn't run away. "Ah!!!" a little girl screamed from the docks. Winter remember ed the little girl's voice, she always hanged with the gang that pestered him. Jessie, she was a sweet little girl. "Now then. I guess I'll actually have to work now"

Winter entered Dock 5, he saw the little girl Jessie standing in front her dad's ship. He began to undo his marine jacket and revealed his bow and arrow shafts fastened to the side of his pants. The pirates surrounded the girl wanting to take the ship for their own. Winter fired off an arrow and spiked the pirate right through his left eye. He stood at the back and fell instantly. Winter gave out a shout, "Jessie, close your eyes. It'll be all over in a second". The the little girl latched her eyes shut and the giant pirate in the center commanded his men to rush towards Winter. It was a fifteen, well fourteen on one fight, the remain thirteen grunts proceeded. "ICE Realm" Winter whispered. From the bottom of his feet, ice expanded over the 35 meter radius between him and the ship. The men feet were completely frozen, the struggled to free themselves but it was futile.

Winter fired off fifteen arrows with accuracy towards the frozen pirates knee caps causing them to fall to their knees and below out in agony. "ICE Smith" Winter whispered and created 15 arrows, each now sticking out from the side of the body. The pirates cried out in fear, at the deformed marines ice body, "What is he!?" "A devil fruit user!?" At an accelerated rate, he fired off arrows to the frozen marines throats. Their crimson blood filled the sky blue icy field and the pirate Captain charged towards Winter.
