Forging a Destiny

Grunting as loudly as possible, he got and walked to the stern of their tiny vessel. He sat back down and laid with his feet hanging out of the boat. Two jets of air blew out of his soles and propelled the boat forward at a faster speed than before. "How's that?" he asked, adjusting his parasol to cover his head again. "We'll probably be there soon. What's that place like? I've never heard of it before."

His smile was only in place for a moment before the sudden surge of momentum brought a grunt to Tyson's lips. He could hardly complain considering this was what he'd asked for and he'd be a liar if he said that the sudden velocity wasn't kind of fun all things considered. Readjusting his posture to lie back in the bow with his feet propped up on the bow, Tyson did his best to get comfortable using his coat as a pillow. "My family took a vacation there a few years back. Kind of a tourist trap really. That being said, the food wasn't bad and it had some of the nicest ships I've ever seen. Security'll be tight though. You sure you can handle a brawl with somebody who actually knows their stuff?"

"I'd rather avoid a fight if we can, but if things get back, you can handle it. I know you can do it." Fighting wasn't his thing, if evidenced by the quick escape. One reason he wanted a crew was for the protection, after all. The food sounded promising, and a nice ship would do wonders for their piracy. Maybe the could wrack up a bounty while they were there. There were plenty of possibilities in a new city for all kinds of debauchery. Maybe he could even find some chemicals to do things with. He exhaled a large sigh, firing it as a jet to boost their speed for a few moments.

Closing his eyes, Tyson folded his arms behind the back of his head. So that's how it was going to be. "So you were basically just in the market for a bodyguard back there then. You're probably right though. While I wouldn't exactly be against fighting our way through a few guards, we'll be much better off doing this with as little fuss as possible," he said in agreement, allowing a yawn of his own now that he'd better adjusted to the speed of this craft. "For the record though, we're gonna do something about that lazy attitude of yours real quick. I'm not about to stick around with a guy who isn't willing to get his hands dirty for his crew." As the words left his mouth Tyson paused a moment to consider the personal weight of that statement. He was part of a crew now. Out on his own in the world, the only people he'd have to rely on were the other people aboard their soon to be ship. All of the sudden transforming this Conrad guy into a proper captain was becoming all the more important.
