Taking Alabasta: P1, Gangs of Rainbase

The weather was steamy hot; the wind was quiet only a very rare breeze slipping over the land, and even so the day was just like any other day in the rain base, guess that’s what it’s like when you're living in the desert you learn to cope with things. This place was amazing; the amount of activity for such a place was insane. Even to those who were used to big cities would come here and still be surprised, the variety of people here was immense, both in the good and bad ways. It was like a haven for doing whatever you felt like, the marine had little to no grasp of this place, they more or left it alone, as it so 'rotten' that it was beyond saving by now, well that depends on how you want to save the place. One thing is to remove the filth a whole other is to simply control it.

It was such an idea that had led Jack to even think of wanting to claim Alabasta, only due to the opportunity that was within the Rainbase. Jack was sitting in a carriage that he had acquired to bring him and Azure Snow to the Rainbase from Yuba, he tilted his head, looking at her was a puzzled look. "So we'll be there soon, any ideas as to how you'll be masking your identity?" He snickered, he found it a funny situation, he would most likely never have accepted an offer to join the warlords, but she could have her reasons, so he didn't judge her at all. How could he, he had properly done far worse things. Jack was wearing his usual light clothes, which would normally seem odd due to the heat, most people covered their bodies in rags to cover them so they didn't get scolded by the sun. Then again it’s not like he ever has trouble with the heat.

Jack tiled his head leaning back, taking it rather serious, as he felt this was rather key to make sure her identity was hidden. Afterall if her position was at all important to Azure than she couldn't be recognized. He then nodded with a smile "Well you're definetly hidden... shame to hide such a beautiful face, but thats that" He took a glance out the window taking a look at the distance, he raised an eyebrow at the name taking another glance at the outfit and then nodded in agreement. "Clever name, I don't think we'll run into anyone that would be able to know, but well if this goes right then it'll be out in the new by the end of the week" He thought about it, and he was a bit anxious, and well troubled. Rainbase was one thing, but Marines might not be as timid when the plans would escalate.

Jack had been wondering for a while now, and well while he originally had respected Azure's privacy he figured he'd atleast ask. "Why'd you take the job as Warlord?" He was happy knowing that the carriage was completly safe and there was no one that could hear him, he had thought of asking onboard his ship, but well, he didn't want to discuss such things, even if it was his crew he felt that Azure shouldn't feel uncomfterble on his ship.

Jack listened carefully, it was easy to tell it wasn't a heartbeat conclusion Azure had taken. But then again had he been in her shoes perhaps he had done the same. "Well as long as you're content with the decision, I'm just happy to have known to beforehand... Warlords tend to gain a bad rep around other pirates..." He didn't really know what to think, maybe in truth he was a bit troubled, hoping that Warlord wasn't just steps back to the Azure who was a part of the Marines through and through, then again if that was the case he would have to respect that. But in truth he really shouldn't be considering that, since if that was the case then Azure wouldn't be here helping doing something so crazy.

Getting back to reality he figured he kind of needed to think up a plan as well, it was alot of work. They would have to use all the connection they knew off if it was to go smoothly, of course some are easier to please than others. "guess splitting up working off the connections we have to begin with would be best, then deal with the more troublesome ones together?" He asked knowing full well it was the most logical way to go about it. "I'll go talk to someone who goes by the name Crazy Jack... Apparently he knew my parents..." Jack smiled awkwardly, not really sure what to make of it, nor if he could believe him, but he was a crime boss in the city one of the five, so if his heritage could help him out then that would be that.
