Crushing Winds is a sword technique thought to be invented by the men of the Hayate clan, the men of the Hayate clan have always been the most physically dominant of all of the men of the Terraforest tribe. Their bodies are built for both speed and power thus giving them a great deal of strength. When wielding a very large and heavy weapon the men of this clan are able to direct powerful and even sharp currents of wind at the will of their blades. In order to have great control over this it takes years of practice.
Skill Strengths:
- Allows the user to create blades of wind to cut opponents.
- Allows the user to create walls of wind to block attacks.
- Allows the user to create whirlwinds to send people and things flying.
- Is strong against light based attacks (+10 strength)
- Is strong against sand based attacks (+10 strength)
Skill Weaknesses:
- Cannot be used in tight spaces (user needs at least 8 feet of clearance on either side of them.)
- Cannot be used under water.
- Cannot be used if the users hands or weapon is trapped within something (such as muck, swamp etc. Pertains to fighting against Devil Fruit users)
- Is weak against Stone based attacks (-10 strength)
- Is weak against Metal based attacks (-10 strength)

Ability Lvl 1 Name: Unsheathing the Storm
Ability Lvl 1 Type: Offensive
Ability Lvl 1 Cooldown: 2 posts.
Ability Lvl 1 Description: Taking his sheath into his hand, Rai will grip the handle of his buster sword with the other and prepare to draw his blade. Upon drawing his blade with great force it causes a massive whirl of sharp wind to be sent out in a spiral motion in front of him in an 8 foot diameter for up to 10 feet in front of him.
Ability Lvl 1 Strengths:
- Is a strong opening attack in order to catch an opponent off guard.
- The sharp wind can cause small cuts on an opponents body (if directly hit there will be 10 small cuts in a scattered pattern)
- Reduces a targets reflexes by -5 for a post if they are hit directly.
Ability Lvl 1 Weaknesses:
- Has a short range (up to 10 feet.)
- Dodged easily if the opponent has +10 more Reflex than Rai's Speed.
- Deals -5 damage to opponents wearing Heavy armor.
Ability Lvl 1 Name: Skyward Wind
Ability Lvl 1 Type: Offensive
Ability Lvl 1 Cooldown: 3 posts.
Ability Lvl 1 Description: With his weapon already drawn, Rai slashes his massive blade in an upward motion towards an opponent bringing the strength of the winds along with the slash of his blade allowing him to be able to both slash an opponent and knock them up into the air.
Ability Lvl 1 Strengths:
- Combines the damage of a powerful slash with a skyward knock up.
- If a target is within 2 feet of the slash (on either side meaning 2 feet in front of the blade or 2 feet to either side of the blade), whether the slash lands or not they will be knocked up into the air.
- Has the capability of knocking an opponent 10 feet into the air.
Ability Lvl 1 Weaknesses:
- Following through with the swing of the attack, since the blade is heavy it leaves Rai's mid section open to be attacked right after the attack is preformed.
- Those with +10 more strength than Rai's current strength cannot be knocked into the air.
- Deals -5 damage to opponents wearing Heavy armor.
Ability Lvl 1 Name: Whirling Strike
Ability Lvl 1 Type: Offensive
Ability Lvl 1 Cooldown: 3 posts.
Ability Lvl 1 Description: With the buster swords already unsheathed, Rai swings his blade around him in a circular motion at a high rate of speed, using the momentum of the sword its self to in turn spin himself around rapidly for several revolutions causing strong winds to pick up around him, these winds are strong enough to cause minor cuts to an opponent.
Ability Lvl 1 Strengths:
- Allows Rai to swing his massive blade around him for several revolutions making him hard to approach by an opponent.
- The winds created by the revolutions will cause anyone within 2 feet of Rai's body and swords to sustain minor cuts.
- Being caught in these winds will cause a loss of -10 Reflex for a post.
Ability Lvl 1 Weaknesses:
- While this skill is being used, Rai loses -10 Reflex.
- Ranged attacks are extremely effective while this skill is being used.
- Deals -5 damage to opponents wearing Heavy armor.
Ability Lvl 1 Name: Hurricane Crash
Ability Lvl 1 Type: Offensive
Ability Lvl 1 Cooldown: 3 posts.
Ability Lvl 1 Description: With the buster sword already unsheathed, Rai raises the sword high above his head and slashes it downward with all of his might, bringing along with it the strength of the winds to add extra force to the strike.
Ability Lvl 1 Strengths:
- +10 strength added to the attack.
- Due to the force of the winds, if the attack lands it has a great downward force because of the winds brought along with the slash.
- Even if the slash its self is evaded and the winds hit, the winds will deal 10 points of strength in damage to a target it the winds hit. (must be directly below Rai's sword to be hit by the winds)
Ability Lvl 1 Weaknesses:
- Rai loses -10 Strength for a post after this skill is used.
- Rai's mid section is left open when raising the sword above his head.
- Deals -5 damage to opponents wearing Heavy armor.
Ability Lvl 1 Name: Wind Wall
Ability Lvl 1 Type: Defensive
Ability Lvl 1 Cooldown: 2 posts.
Ability Lvl 1 Description: With the sword unsheathed, Rai turns the blade on its flat edge and swings it in a downward motion to grip the wind and create a wall of wind in front of him that is 10x10 feet. The wall is good for blocking projectiles and Devil fruit abilities but not to good with blocking melee attacks.
Ability Lvl 1 Strengths:
- Can protect the user from projectile type attacks by blowing them downward (normally into the ground)
- Once the shield is placed Rai is able to move from his position.
- Can be quickly deployed to save him at the last moment.
Ability Lvl 1 Weaknesses:
- Melee attacks can breach through the wall so long as the opponents Strength is higher than +5 point of Rai's Strength.
- Ranged attacks that have power equal to +10 Strength higher than Rai's Strength can breach this wall.
- Attacks that have the capability to curve or move at will are able to strike Rai possibly, this is a wall that is created in front of Rai and not a total all around shield.
