Equipment Name: The Hunter’s Fedora
Equipment Level: Divine
Equipment Type: Hat
Equipment Description: A fairly wide, black fedora with golden borders on the outer and inner rim. It also has an eagle’s feather pierced into the right side of the inner rim.
Equipment Significance: This fedora belonged to a famous sea-king hunter who was considered an expert in marksmanship. His precision was known to be unparalleled and his speed was something to be dreaded. At a very old age, this man was visiting Loguetown, and while walking down a desolate alley, he fell to the ground. He believed that his time had come, and was ready to pass on, when a young Gray came along and noticed him in agony. The old man smiled as Gray sat beside him in his final moments at his request and with his last breath, placed his blessing upon Gray along with his trademark fedora.
This hat represents precision and speed, but also the dreaded outcome of every important being in the world: death.
Equipment Strength:
+ Gives +15 reflex and +10 speed to the user.
+ The user can see everything in vivid detail for up to 40 meters.
+ The user can turn this hat 180 degrees to go into “Focused mode”, which gives +30 reflex instead of the bonuses in the first strength.
Equipment Weaknesses:
- If the opponent has 15 or more speed than the user, the user gets a -5 to reflex.
- If the opponent has 15 or more strength than the user, the opponent can knock the hat off the user once per 10 posts, the equipment's bonuses are removed for two posts and the user also receives a stat penalty of -10 reflex.
- When in “Focused mode”, the user gets a -5 speed penalty.
