All Hands On Deck

The main deck of the Infinite Winds blares with music and laughter, as the crew all come together to dance, sing, drink, tell stories, and just generally have fun.

Mark tossed open the door from his room aboard the Infinite Winds, and looked out to the main deck. He froze and looked about tiredly. He had a big ship, for the small crew he, as of now maintained, but he still found it hard whenever he came out to silence aboard his vessel.

Mark tromped down below decks to see it he could find Kahoji or Amari, in their rooms. He knocked several times and listened, but heard nothing. This bothered him as he continued walking and looked about bewildered, for his missing crew.

(Hours Later)

Mark slumped onto the deck, he knew he had a big ship but not "that" big, as to hide all his mates, he frowned, and slipped into sleep.

Jonny exited his comfy room and decided to wander around his crew's ship. As he walked along the wooden floor he turned his gaze to the structure of their method of transportation. The ship was quite large and could hold plenty of crew members. It was the ideal base for a large pirate crew such as the Wild Tempest Pirates. Jonny turned his gaze from the ship's structure and looked to where he was going,careful not to trip over anything and end up in the deep waters of the sea. Being a Devil Fruit User, Jonny's common weakness was his inability to swim. It's a price to pay for the incredible power he was given.

The power he has acquired in question was a logia type called the Goro Goro no Mi. In other words, he has gain the power of lightning. There were few who could stand up to the raw power of a natural element, especially electricity. Jonny could easily bring anyone down with a strike of a mighty lightning bolt. Still, the boy has yet to discover the true extent of his abilities. With more training, he can produce a voltage of greater magnitude.

While walking on the deck of the ship, Jonny spotted Mark, his captain, take a nap. From his own perspective, he must have been bored with all air of silence within the atmosphere. The young pirate rookie himself thought of the silence as dull. He decided to wake up Mark and end both their boredom. Walking over to where he slept, Jonny lifted his right hand and shook his captain awake from his right arm.

"Hey Mark, you awake, come on let's do something exciting. We can at least train to kill this boredom." He said, trying to awaken his friend.

Mark shrugged away from Jonny's attempts to wake him but at the mention of "kill this boredom" he almost bolted upright, and rubbed his eyes. He turned then to his shipmate and broke into a toothy grin and almost shouted, "Yes!" before jumping to his feet now fully awake. He offered his hand to help Jonny rise with a grin, "some practice might be just what I need."

The kitchen was filled with the smells of some home cooking. Whether it was good or not was soon to be discovered since she had new guinea pigs in the form of her new crew members. Somehow she had made a dish that combined the taste of mackerel with the taste and texture of chili. A sort of seafood chili that would be filling provided anyone could keep it down.

Ann scooped the bubbling concoction into a sample bowl and went out onto the deck where her two new crew mates where. "Hey boys, before you start trying to kill each other I want you to sample this dish I just whipped up and tell me what you think." She had a spoon in the bowl and scooped up a bit and held it out to Mark. "Come on Captain try it."

Mark suddenly felt his stomach rumble and smiled at Anna, "You apparently read my mind." Mark laughed, and waved off Jonny, "Im gonna eat first, then we can fight." He approached Anna and took the bowl, before sauntering into the kitchen and sitting down at the table to eat.

Mark lifted the spoon to his lips and gulped greedily. The fish concoction tasted off, but Mark had grown used to stranger dishes all through out his child hood, having grown up among the Fishmen, and Merfolk. He downed the bowl and looked over to Anna holding it out for seconds.

The Captain's iron clad stomach would likely save his life over the course of their voyages. Since he seemed to like the food she'd happily fetch him another bowl and she made one for Jonny as well. There was plenty to go around after all since she had to cook enough food for five then have some left over in case anyone wanted some more. "You too Jonny eat up. You shouldn't waste food after all."

Ann held out the bowl for him and stared at him with sad eyes. It looked like her heart would break if he refused especially since the captain seemed to be enjoying it.

The young pirate looked at the bowl with wonder. His mind concoct numerous flavors that the food could hold. As the aroma reached his nose, he took in the scent. It smell great, so it shouldn't taste bad. Jonny always liked Anna's cooking. The tastes of each dish was so new to him. It filled him with mystery as to what flavor were they.

His gaze shifted from the bowl to Anna's saddened face. There was no way Jonny could refuse that look she wore. Besides, she went through all the trouble of preparing this food. The least he could do is give it a try, even though he will end up liking it anyway. The young combatant smiled and took the bowl from Anna's hands.

"Thanks Anna, it sure does smell good." He said as he walked into the kitchen. He sat down at the table and picked up a spoon lying next to the bowl. He scooped up a good portion of the dish and put it in his mouth. As he tasted it, he let out a smile. The food before him was delicious. Before talking, he swallowed the spoonful and turned to Anna.

"Wow Anna, this food you've made tastes great. I think I might eat seconds." Jonny said as he turned back to his bowl and continued eating.

Mark glad to see his crew getting along so well, stood and walked over to the door to the store room, and brought out a keg of ale. Mark made a grand show of opening it up and poring a fair amount into each glass, before raising his, downing it and poring himself another, after he pored that second glass, he began to hum, and sing, slightly off key. "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me..."

Mark continued and began waving his arms, and half full tankard, about like a conductor. Grinning as he danced about like a child.

"All right. Seconds for everyone. Third's if you want it. I wouldn't recommend it since chili often doesn't sit well if you eat too much of it." She got the boys seconds while the Captain started up a song. Shaking her head she merely put down the bowls and listened to them sing while she poured her ale into her lemonade. Ann wasn't a big drinker and the taste of ale was rather strong. "Don't go spilling any ale on my nice clean floor. It's already a pain cleaning up after the rest of you already without the floor reeking of booze."

Other than that little warning Ann hummed along as she drank her spiked lemonade. Singing wasn't something she really enjoyed all that much. Listening was more her speed.

Jonny had finished his first bowl of chili seafood and began eating his second helping, which was put on the table by Anna. The young combatant had a big appetite. It explain how he is able to finish his meals so quickly and still have room for more. Jonny smiled as he was chewing on his food then, swallowed the contents. Very soon, he finished his second helping. As he got up from his seat, he picked up both bowls and walked over to the sink. He turned on the water to wash them. After which, he dried his hands and walked over to pick up a bottle of ale. He turned to Anna togive his comment on the dish.

"Thanks for the food Anna, it was awesome." He said with a smile crossing his face. He really did enjoyed the taste of the chili. The flavor actually took him on a joyride. He walked over to the counter and got a mug. He then, opened the bottle of ale and poured it in the cup. He set the bottle down and picked up the mug, drinking the beverage. Jonny caught Anna warning about being careful with the drinks. When he was finished drinking at the moment, he turned his gaze to her.

"Don't worry about it Anna, I'll be careful." He said , turning to his captain, "But I better keep and eye on Mark." The young pirate took another gulp of the ale in his mug and sat it down on the counter. He walked over and danced along with with his captain. Jonny was a bit goofy at time, but enjoyed the good moments of life. He was careful, not to sill anything, though.

Mark finally finished the song and laughed looking at Jonny, "so how about that sparring match now?" he asked as he quit literally pored the third bowl he had been served down his throat. He grinned menacingly at his ship mate, and nudged him towards the door to the main deck.

He then walked out and took a large gulp of the fresh air and let out a huge sigh, turning to face the doorway should Jonny, really take up his challenge. As he listened to the sea though, and thought of the song they had sung earlier, he noted that he needed to find a musician, for the crew. He then mentally shrugged and relaxed back into the moment.

When the song ended, Jonny had finished dancing along with Mark. The captain then, asked for both of them to do the sparring match now. The young pirate gave a smirk to his captain who was chugging down a bowl of the chili. He was excited to fight the captain in a sparring match. He wonders who will win in this training.

"Sure thing, captain, I'm always ready for a good challenge." He said before being nudged towards the main deck. He liked the look in Mark's eyes. He could tell he was just excited. When Jonny made it to the door, he put his right hand on the knob and turned it. It opened to reveal the main deck. The boy inhaled a good portion of fresh air, enjoying the breeze that flows pass him. He walked outside towards the main deck and got in a fighting position.

"You ready, Mark, remember I'm not gonna hold back, so you better be ready." He said, warning his friend that he was going to give it all he's go. Though, he will be careful not to hurt him too badly and be mindful of the state of the ship. He didn't want to release a lightning bolt and set it on fire by accident, if he hit the sail or door to the kitchen.

Mark grinned as Jonny began getting ready and shifted into his own stance. His arms shifted lightly like moving through water as he stared at his new found sparing partner. He laughed at Jonny's seriousness and grinned widly. "Laddies first." he mocked matching his breathing to the shift of the boat.

Ann didn't understand the joy the two men got from fighting one another, but she supposed whatever kept them happy was fine with her. Provided no mess was made the couldn't or wouldn't clean up. The bowls and dirty spoons where put into the sink where she ran some warm water and soap over them and began to wash. It took only a few moments to finish up.

The two men had given her an idea for a painting. One she'd enjoy seeing their shocked expressions after she finished. Ann fetched some canvas and sat in the kitchen to begin painting.

Jonny doesn't like to be mocked at all, not one bit. However, when it comes to a friendly comment from his friends, it really didn't mattered. The young pirate gave a smirk to the captain. He decided to use a regular physical attack than one use with his Goro Goro no Mi abilities. He might end up burning a place on the ship and he really didn't want to mess up such a nice vessel. The boy rushed to Mark and concentrated all his strength in his right fist.

"Alright Mark, take this Strength Fist!" He shouted, thrusting it towards the pirate captain, aiming for his chest. Strength Fist is one of his favorite moves without his powers of the Goro Goro no Mi. He could put a dent in actual stone and damage someone through light armor.

Techniques Used:

Mark shifted as he shot his foot out towards Jonny, using the difference in height to counter the arm reach of the other. He still had the twinkle in his eye as he called out, "You know karate, there Jonny, but let me show you the strength of a real martial arts." His kick would reach Jonny, before Jonny could reach him.

Mark then held back on his power to avoid hurting his friend, and grinned.

[When do you lot wanna do a task together?]

The sounds of the sparring did little to distract her from the painting. Provided the painting didn't get destroyed she could probably sell it to some collector. Or perhaps a fan of theirs. Some pirates attracted fans with their antics and since they weren't evil and went around killing people it was likely they'd gather a following over the course of their adventures.

The fan girls of the Captain and Jonny would rather enjoy this painting once it was done. They wouldn't and would likely be a little miffed with Ann. The looks on their faces would be worth it though.

The young pirate saw the the captains kick head for him. It was obvious his attack would hit first than his powerful punch. The difference between their height guaranteed Mark would get the first blow. Jonny could use his Goro Goro powers to escape the attack, but he wasn't a person that was far too reckless. It might end up wrecking the ship. If he and Mark were in a different terrain than the ship, he wouldn't be so restricted to using his martial arts. His Devil Fruit power was strong, but also highly destructive as he has yet to master it's true potential.

Jonny had decided to just try and block, or at least dodge the attack. He started to rotate his body to a certain angle where he could try and counter the kick coming at him while also canceling out his Strength Fist to use again later. When he was done spinning to an angle where he faced the opposite direction of Mark and his left side was to the incoming kick, he held up his left arm and blocked it.

"Don't take me too lightly, Mark. My dream is to become the best fighter in the world, so I'm not going down that easily." Jonny said, determination evident in his tone. With the kick blocked, the boy took the moment to grabbed the captain's leg and pulled on it in a forward direction. This would cause his friend to be pulled towards him. As Mark neared him from the pull, Jonny rotated his body clockwise and lifted his left leg, aiming to use an arc motion.

"Try this, Strength Arc!" He shouted as he proceeded with the technique. This arc kick was stronger than the average one, being able to do more damage.

Techniques Used:

Mark looked a little surprised by the pulling of his leg, and then seemed to hesitate for a moment on what he would do next. He shifted his arm and blocked the attack but with its force was sent toppling over the side. He hit the water and floated onto his back, "ouch" he thought shaking out his arm.

Mark looked up to the boat and then shifted his stance taking firm foot hold on the water, he then jumped back aboard and smiled as he removed his shirt revealing his tanned and muscled core. He began wringing out his shirt, "Nice kick, but now you have to pay for the dip." Mark's stance shifted once more and he launched at Jonny and this time he lashed out with his leg leaving little time to dodge.

Abilities Used:

(btw Im about to introduce the task, and Jonny because of my powers you are right now already feeling power drained and cannot use your no Mi to dodge the attack)

[Hey, sorry for not posting sooner. My internet was having trouble, because of an ice storm outside.]

Due to being unable to evade the attack headed straight for him, Jonny braced for what he was about to feel. As the kick connected to his chest, he could feel a ripple flow through his body. He started to feel numb as he was starting to loose feeling in his limbs. He nerves felt like they were impacted by the current of a stun gun, only it wasn't done with electricity. Jonny was immune to electricity due to being a Lightning man. Tasers were pretty much useless against him.

When Jonny could no longer stand, he fell to his knees. Followed by this he collapsed further and landed on his chest. The young pirate knows for sure what happened. He was paralyzed and could move. It was quite irritating and had the pirate wondering how he pulled it off without any electricity.

"Hey, I can move, dang it. It looks like you win." Jonny said while laying on the main deck, temporarily incapable of movement.

Mark laughed and patted Jonny on the head, "there is a reason that I'm the captain." he said, then helping Jonny to at least be stunned in a sitting position. "It will wear off soon enough." he said and then trailed off looking into the distance, and grinning broadly, "Anna!" he called loudly, and running up to the ships wheel. "All hands on deck, we've got us a prize in sight."

The captain's call came just in time. She had finished the picture with some time to spare. Now to show it off to the boys and get a laugh or two from it. Her powers made the paint dry quickly so she didn't have to worry about it running in the moist air once she stepped out onto the deck. "Hey guys what do you think? I believe it captures your spar to the T."

The painting was straight out of a boy love manage with Jonny in the Captain's arms. They were looking lovestruck at each other and both were shirtless. "What do you think? It may fetch a pretty penny among the ladies of the world." For some odd reason women seemed to love boy love.

While Jonny was still paralyzed, he sill couldn't move. He couldn't even turn his head. At least he was in the right angle to gaze at the painting Anna illustrated. His reaction to the artwork was that of a gaping mouth along with shock in his eyes. The surprise in Jonny's face was hysterical. Still, he could believe what he saw or what Anna had drew. There was absolutely no way he was going to let anyone see that. It's too bad that he couldn't do anything about it though. After all, he's still paralyzed and it lasts for 2 more rounds.

"What the- Anna, you seriously going to show the fans that. Why would women want to see stuff like that anyway. Uh, if only I could move." He said with shock then, annoyance at his temporal inability of movement. He turned to his captain to ask him about the painting Anna is showing them.

"So Mark, what do you think about that painting?" He asked.

Mark was busy looking out at the distance and steering the boat, but when he saw the image he laughed, looking at Jonny "quiet down lover boy, Anna were going after that ship there he said pointing out to sea."
