Official Topics Guide: How To Make And Operate Pirate Tasks

Post by Admin Sat Nov 16, 2013 6:45 am

Avast mi hardy! Are ye lookin' fer a extra buck er two? Weeell, ye've come to the right place! This here is a Guide to Making and Performing Pirate Tasks! I'll letcha have it since ye be a pirate too! Here! Read up!

    ~ Introduction ~

You may ask, what exactly is a pirate task? What do they do for me? What do they do for my crew mates? Well, here your questions will be answered!

A pirate task is a "mission" or "job" in which one pirate or a group of pirates work towards a goal. This goal is usually something illegal, or the means to achieving the goal are illegal which will cause the World Government to take notice of you and your actions. This is when you will receive a bounty on your head. Once you have finished a pirate task, you will gain a addition to your bounty. Your bounty is based off your infamy within the World Government. The higher your bounty, the more Marines will be actively searching for you, as well as bounty hunters.

For a Pirate, there are two types of Bounties. There is an individual bounty, where there is a bounty on a single pirate and there is a Crew Bounty, where your Jolly Roger and crew acquires a bounty as well. As a Pirate, your bounty is the equivalent to EXP. You will constantly acquire a higher bounty as long as you keep doing Pirate Tasks! This also means that you will be able to access higher level Pirate Tasks to further increase your and your crew's bounty when you reach the proper level.

New* You may Work with other Affiliations but you must have a good, long reason why you are working with either a Revolutionary or a Marine. Also, you can work with Pirates that are not in your crew.

    ~ Pirate Task Levels ~

There are three types of Pirate Tasks.

Rookie-Pirate Tasks: These tasks are designed for beginner level pirates. They consist of simple or easy jobs that any pirate can do, given just a little time or skill. Examples of this kind of task would be sea highjacking, petty thievery, kidnapping, minor property damage, pillaging of small villages, assault, trespassing, resisting arrest, battery, crossing into another Blue without permission, attacking a Recruit level Marine, ect. These tasks are nominal for pirates that are inexperienced and could never hold a candle to a Senior Marine or Veteran Pirate.

Veteran-Pirate Tasks: Tasks of this level are reserved for seasoned pirates that know how to handle themselves (and others, on occasion) to a degree. Jobs like these are compiled of difficult or complicated jobs that not many pirates could do. At least not do and live to tell the tale of it. Tasks of this quality involve such things like arson, murder, manslaughter, grand larceny, fraud, attacking Senior or large groups of Recruit-level marines, destruction of World Government property (regardless of size or scale), sinking of Marine vessels, resisting arrest, entering Paradise, ect.

Legendary Pirate Tasks: Tasks of this level are only doable by pirates of the highest caliber. In terms of strength, speed, intellect, or power, they are rivaled by few and surpass many. Encountering (and pissing off) a pirate of this level usually will spell death for you. Jobs that only these elite can perform are so difficult or insane that they will be talked about for years to come by those of any and all professions. Tasks of this caliber include taking over a World Government-aligned island, sinking a fleet of Marine vessels, destruction of World Government property (regardless of size or scale), encountering a Buster Call, attacking several Senior level or any army of Recruit level Marines, destroying an island, entering the New World, ect.

    ~ Bounties (Detailed) ~

As a pirate, not only do you get a bounty yourself, but your crew does as well. One might ask why you would want a crew when you could just stick it out yourself? There is a easy answer to that question. The more people in your crew that you have participating in your Pirate Task, the higher your bounty will raise. The World Government sees pirates individually as a problem. Pirates as a group are even worse. When a group of pirates, who could have all different kinds of powers and skills, get together there is no telling what kind of problems that they could cause.

    Individual Bounties

Individual bounties are bounties that are placed on a single pirate's head. Any illegal action caused by this person will cause their bounty to increase, no matter the type. Any pirate can establish a bounty, and any pirate can be killed for their bounty. However, the only way you can incur a higher bounty is if you actually do something illegal. If you are in a task with someone else and you do not participate in any way, then you will not get a addition to your bounty.

Accomplishing tasks Solo will give you half of the reward allotted. Yes the mission is harder however just because YOU choose to make the mission harder does not mean you get a reward, and we want people working together in a community driven roleplay, Only Legendary Pirates will get Full bounty when going Solo. A Pirate just needs to be part of a crew to do solos, below rank 3.

The rates for Individual Bounties in correspondence to the rank of the Task you are doing goes as follows.

    Rookie Crews:

    Veteran Crews:

    Legendary Crews:

    Crew Bounties

Crew bounties are bounties that are placed on a group of pirates' heads. The sight of their ship or Jolly Roger raises alarms everywhere no matter where they go. Any illegal action caused by a member of the crew will cause the crew's bounty to increase, no matter the type. Any crew can establish a bounty, and all crews will be hunted because of their bounty. However, the only way your crew can incur a higher bounty is if it's members actually do something illegal. If no-one in your crew is doing nothing illegal, then your crew will not get a addition to it's bounty. Your crew can only gain bounty if they commit crimes.

The rates for Crew Bounties are a blend of all the crew members bounties collectively added together.

    *New* Task Points

For Task Rewards the Pirate will gain a "Task Point"(s) Which they can then spend in the Task Rewards Shop. When you complete a Task you will be given a certain amount of Task Points in which you can spend on Beli, Special Gear, Weapons and other things like Stat gains or Special NPC to hire for your ship.

Task Rank: (What is the rank of the Task? )
Boss Required?: (Will you need a boss to be randomized for you? We will work within the parameters of the mission. Answer: Yes or No. Do not describe the boss, we decide the boss.
