He is often extremely kind and generous towards his friends or even others due to his more noble upbringing, though to some Gustav might come off as somewhat egotistical or even ruthlessly self centered, due to his willingness to put all aside to accomplish his goals and dreams even if it means becoming what he hates most in the world. These stronger emotions can sometimes blind him from his true self, allowing them to hold sway over his actions and choices, turning him into an almost completely different person.
Likes:
-Manners
-Wine
-Antiques
Dislikes:
-Rudeness

Motivations:
-To regain his lost estate and family pride.
Fears:
-Becoming a coward
-Losing what little wealth he has
-Being unable to get revenge for his family
Behavior/Habits:
Gustav tends to have overly polite gestures and attitudes such as saying please and thank you when it isn't necessary or when people aren't expecting it. He is often seen using his fairly large cane to lean against, even though it lacks no purpose due to his legs being completely fine and him not suffering any back injuries. It is fairly common for him to dress in a well mannered fashion, though often refuses to spend money carelessly unless he is in desperate need of new clothes or equipment. Due to a nervous habit he also tends to hide any money he receives in various locations around him barely keeping it on his person.
History:
When Gustav was the age of three he was adopted from an orphanage by a wealthy businessman named Joseph Montague, who at the time was looking for a young boy to inherit his estate once he passed on. Once adopted Joseph quickly taught Gustav everything he knew, including how to act 'proper,' and if he failed to meet Joseph's circumstances he was beaten severely. At the age of 15 Gustav inherited Joseph's estate and business assets, but the current business executives noticing their chance to take over quickly jumped on it, and in the time of two years enacted their plan. A group of unknown pirates raided the village his estate was located in, and quickly burned down his estate. Using some quick thinking, and what little sword play he was taught he narrowly escaped death and fled to the sea on a small raft.
Once he finally set adrift he spent almost half a month at sea barely surviving until he came across a fairly deserted island. Due to what little knowledge he had on surviving he often wandered aimlessly collecting various fruits, making traps to capture small animals, and drinking river water. Three weeks after he stumbled upon the deserted island Gustav was charged by a boar like creature and due to his lack of weapons was forced to flee, eventually leading to him losing the boar, but managing to walk into one of his own snares, sadly leaving him unable to walk on his right leg after he managed to escape the small trap. All day he crawled, and hobbled around trying to find a stick big enough to use a crutch, until he came across a mysterious cane. A beautiful dark blue cane with a dragon handle with the words "wealth, power, ambition" engraved onto the side. It was almost to good to be true, and long past his injury healed he kept the cane.
After nearly an entire year of spending time on the abandoned island he eventually came across a group of pirates who themselves were lost at sea, and exchange for what little food and water Gustav had gathered they decided to be kind enough to take him to the next town that they visited. Once they finally arrived the pirates quickly did what business they had with the people and left Gustav to accompany them, and leading to him deciding to take up a career as a blacksmith for a short six months where he learned many different skills. One day the man who had hired him became curious about the cane that Gustav seemed so needlessly attached to, and noticed a small crease around the handle of the dragon and tried nudging on it only to find out that it was actually a fairly beautiful steel rapier. The blacksmith offered a fairly large sum of Beli and same with the local swordsmen, but Gustav denied both offers due to a strong connection towards the very cane that helped him survive that island.
Six long months finally passed and he finally amassed enough money to travel back home to his estate and to regain his past glory only to find out that when he finally arrived there was a new estate rebuilt in almost exact same location that his used to be located at. Curious he asked the locals who exactly lived there only to find out the sad truth, that he was quickly pronounced dead after the incident two years ago, and his business executives quickly took over the company and everything that the Montague's once owned. After numerous failed attempts to reclaim his original position within the company, he quickly tried to bring his case to the world government, but was quickly denied a case due to his lack of proof of the incident taking place. Out of anger towards his past employees and the world government he turned his ambitions towards the sea, convinced that if the world government wouldn't give back his home than he would take it back.
