Miyata Yanarou's Equipment Application

Equipment Name: Kurikara

Equipment Description: This is a basic katana with a unique hilt and blade design. It's light, durable and has an easily interchangeable blade, perfect for aspiring swordsmen as it allows them to try different blades.

Appearance:

Equipment Significance: Stolen by Miyata during a time he was imprisoned upon a ship and used to slay it's original own and his captor.
Equipment Strength:
- Durable
- Light
- Interchangeable blade
Equipment Weaknesses:
- It's mainly a weapon for cutting flesh and light material. Not very affective against heavy armor
- Its durability comes from the fact that the blades are interchangeable. The blades on their own are easily breakable(if not used carefully) due to their light weight.
- Blades require constant maintenance

Equipment Description: These are steel made blades for Miyata's Kurikara. Each blade is a different variation of blades commonly found on katana, nothing too special besides they are light and sharp if maintained well. Similar weaknesses as the Kurikara above. The blades are carried in a custom quiver like case on Miyata's back much like an archer would his arrows. Only ten blades can be held in the case at any one time, Miyata currently holds Nine.

I'm not entirely certain if a weapon with an interchangeable blade is allowed at rank 1. I'll have to ask about that, but you need at least 3 weaknesses for a weapon to be passed.

Updated. Is it fine to have interchangeable blades then?

As long as the interchangeable blade will not have any specific advantage that will have it classify as a Level 2 weapon, it should be alright. However, it would be better if you could limit the type of blades you carry (since it is, after all, containing a katana hilt and can't theoretically do with broader blade types) and post in the application itself regarding the blades (i.e, the type of blades, material they're made of, etc.). If they're completely mundane blades which, upon switching, only allow for a different style to be used, they will be approved.

Updated. The only difference between each blade is shape, granting Miyata a change of fighting style and tactic.
