Name: Arc Highram
Epithet: Black Wall
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Sexuality: Straight
Affiliation: Pirate
Occupation: Champion
Appearance:
Hair Color: Blonde
Skin Tone: Light tan
Height: 6'2
Weight: 210 pounds
Personality: Arc is a man of simple but refined style. If at first you don't succeed, get up and punch harder. He has narrow minded determination that drives him in everything he does. He doesn't have the brightest head on his shoulders and isn't too good at thinking for himself so he tends to cling onto one person and loyally obey them blindly. He doesn't have a very strong sense of right and wrong but he does have some 'lines' he won't cross. Such as attacking a defenseless target, self harm, or senseless destruction of property. He values of the sanctity of personal space and the home greatly, thinking anyone who violates them unnecessarily deserves great punishment. Arc comes from a good solid character building background which would imply he was of stable mind and body and of good morals. This is not true. Due to events towards the beginning of his pirate adventure(see history) Arc lost everything he knew in the world. This realization has put him in a bit of a depressing, directionless rut. He can be pulled out of this when given direction or purpose by a leader of any sort, but if that figure vanishes he is likely to fall right back into his rut.
Likes:
-Personal Space: Every man and women deserves to have space to call their own.
-Smart people in charge: Arc knows he was given strength where a normal person would have a brain so it always brings him comfort knowing that whoever is in charge is of respectable intelligence.
-Strength: Ark likes being strong and being able to change things and always being in a position where matters are within his abilities.
Dislikes:
-Vandalism: Sometimes in a fight property gets destroyed and that's okay it's part of a fight. But intentionally trashing a place for no reason but to trash it is a no no.
-Lack of Direction: Arc doesn't like thinking for himself or being without anyone to guide or advise him.
-Helplessness: Nothing sits worse with Ark then being in a situation he has no control over.
Motivations:
-Shake the World: Arc wants to do something worthy of being remembered, however to be honest he isn't sure what yet.
-Blind Loyalty: Ark without a real big dream of his own has instead chose to make his mark by aiding someone else complete their big dream.
-Law of True Power: It is believed by some that if you are more powerful then whoever imposes a law, you can ignore it, Ark has taken this to a whole new level. He wants to be strong enough to defy reality itself by being stronger then God. The possibility of this is low, but he doesn't really care what is possible and what is not.
Fears:
-The Impossible: Restrictions and upperlimits that define things as 'impossible' set Arc's teeth on end and makes him want to prove otherwise, at his core he fears that he will someday find something truly impossible.
-A Victim: Arc wants to be a player in the game of life, a force on the world stage. He fears greatly falling prey to a greater force he cannot compete with.
-The End: Arc like many fears death. He has things he has to do and he has to live to do them.
Behavior/Habits:
-What is wind: Arc comes from an island that only experiences wind in it's worst storms and even then it's only faint. Unaccustomed to the outside world, he tends to mistake the wind blowing for some kind of attack from an invisible enemy and goes into a panic.
-Invulnerability: Under the (untrue) impression that he is invulnerable Arc tends to behave boldly and do dangerous things without heeding his own safety.
-Unbridled Optimism: Not believing in the impossible Arc goes into even great challenges and dangers with the same mind set he would going in for a no-bet card game with some friends.
History:
Ark was born and raised in an island far out in North Blue it was very remote and out of touch with the world because the wind didn't blow there and the seas were always calm. It was very difficult to get there by boat and wasn't worth going there by any other methods. So Arc was raised in a community that rarely saw outsiders and where everyone knew everyone. They all worked together as a large team to make things work even though times were tough.
Since birth Arc was trained and raised to be a hunter for the village. The island was only inhabited by dangerous and big game so hunters had to be skill warriors. The Tekkai and Shigan were taught to young men by their fathers, as such Arc was always able to use the skills. He didn't know how far back the chain went but he did know that the Tekkai and Shigan techniques were brought to the island many generations ago by an old man who had worked for a branch of the military that "he wasn't permitted to tell anyone about." The old man had retired to the island and had decided to help the locals hunt by teaching them the Tekkai and Shigan, the powers were passed down father to son in every family since then. While Shigan and Tekkai were great powers that kept the village alive long past what it would have with out it would eventually lead to the destruction of the village.
At the heart of the island where the most dangerous beasts roamed and not even the most skilled Shigan Hunter dared go there was a glass orb in a ruined temple. This orb held in the power of the wind native to the island, a force so great that it had to be sealed away long ago to make the island habitable. On a dare from a friend Ark had slipped away into the heart of the forest and found the temple. While there he was attacked by a savage beast, while using the Tobu Shigan one shot would miss it's mark and hit the orb causing it to shatter. The result was a massive typhoon released on the island. Ark would survive, being spared because he was at the eye of the storm, but the island's forests and village were leveled and all life on the island was wiped out. The storm would die down, and as soon as Ark returned to what was left of his village he had just enough time to realize he had caused them all to die, before the wind came again. This time less savage then the first Ark was able to survive using Tekkai but was sent flying out into the ocean. Several days later he would drift to a nearby island where his pirate adventure would begin.
